The Tsunami Hoi-ru has a beautiful hamon and such a great balance. If you know who Professor Gary Lee he is a worldwide known sword drawer and has been dubbed the “Japanese Waterman” for his draw. He loves how the Tsunami Hoi-ru feels, and how it draws. This is a very solid Katana that feels very natural in the hand and boasts a very unique motif with the Ships wheel looking style tsuba and the stormy waved patter fuchi and kashira.
The steel is a 1060 carbon that was forged using a traditional hand forged Muku Kitae method. The blade has been clay tempered and mar quenched and brought to an HRC level of 55. The Tsunami Hoi-ru displays a very prominent hamon and has a razor sharp edge.
